Silvercore Podcast Ep. 19: Chasing Food Club

Connecting with Travis Bader, owner of Silvercore on ego while hunting.

Travis and Tiffany Bader, the power couple that runs Silvercore, have been my favorite couple I’ve connected with within 2020. Their enthusiasm for nature and resilience through operating a business during Covid-19 has been a true inspiration to witness.

The theme I have set this year, as my goals, is to slow down and spend more time rest and reflect mode. Ironically mandatory isolation made it easier to be still. Hence if you follow me on social media, you might notice a drastic drop in content. I got tired of this mad rat race to grow my following, create more content, and burn myself out at every opportunity presented to me.

Moving forward, I will do better at being honest with myself and operating at a much more reasonable pace. Ensuring every piece of content I put out into the worldwide web shares a valuable lesson I’ve learned out in the wild or kitchen. Travis allowed me the chance to speak more to this goal of mine on the podcast.

Venturing into the wild world of hunting and foraging has been one hell of an adventure. I hope to continue to share and contribute to a community of wildlife conservation and folks who love the outdoors, but at my pace! Meeting Travis and Tiffany have reminded me to slow down and enjoy the process of learning new animals and plants. Tiffany has shared so many great books and tips on foraging, and I am so excited to get out for spring bear and put my newfound knowledge to the test.

I get pretty vulnerable on this podcast because I genuinely felt the lessons I’ve learned as a hunter would help those wanting to learn how to hunt and just life in general.

You can listen here on Silvercore’s website.

Happy Listening,

Jenny

My purpose is to serve others by sharing the stories and lessons I gain from interesting individuals who hunt, gather, and protect our wild lands. I hope to start a movement of mindful eaters, erase the stigma of hunters and encourage you to do what you love and do it often.
